I'm a historian of early modern Europe (c. 1450 - 1800), specializing in the history of religion, law, gender, and culture, as well as the history of France in that era. I teach courses on the Renaissance, Reformation, and Enlightenment, as well as seminars on travel writing, religion and society, the Enlightenment and the French Revolution, and biography and autobiography.
